Introduction to Solidworks

This course introduces students to SolidWorks and the fundamentals of 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD). Students will learn how to transform ideas into accurate 2D sketches and detailed 3D models while developing practical skills in mechanical and product design.

Through hands-on projects, learners will explore sketching, part modeling, extrusions, cuts, fillets, chamfers, assemblies, and basic technical drawings. The course focuses on learning by doing, allowing students to create and visualize real-world objects and products.

By the end of the course, students will be able to confidently create basic 3D parts, assemblies, and engineering designs while understanding the workflow from concept → sketch → 3D model → assembly → final design.
