FarmLink: Connecting Farmers to Markets Through Smart, Inclusive and Reliable Technology is a practical course that explores how technology can connect rural farmers to buyers, even in areas with limited or unreliable Internet connectivity.
The course introduces the FarmLink low-connectivity agricultural system, covering smart collection stations, sensor-based weighing, farmer identification, solar-powered village gateways, offline data storage, automatic synchronization, the FarmLink marketplace, smart matching, and logistics.
Learners will understand how farm produce is collected, weighed, recorded, stored, synchronized, matched with buyers, and delivered to the market. The course also demonstrates how technologies such as ESP32, load cells, RFID/NFC, LoRa communication, solar power, cloud systems, and marketplace platforms work together to create a reliable agricultural ecosystem.
